The killer headlines and sharp visuals of Fallon McElligot raised the bar for all creatives of my area. His work was something to aspire to, to take inspiration from – and to blatantly copy when you were blocked and facing a deadline. Tom McElligott brought creatives out of the back room and into the light to have them respected as the professionals they were. With this new respect came a professionalism for us adhere to and an level of excellence we could never reach but would never stop striving for.

Sadly, most young creatives have never heard of Tom McElligot, let alone turned page after page of The One Show or Communication Arts to see his work and that of his employees on page after page. The following links to a post that is a great remembrance of a man that showed us just how great advertising could be.
