MANAGING CONTACTS:
Contacts are separated into 3 fields: phone, text, and email.
To add a contact- “Add New Contact” on one of the sections. Choose the number or information from your contact directory for that field.
To delete contacts- tap the Edit button. Tap the edit icon corresponding to the contact you want to delete to reveal the delete
button.
Selecting active users-Tap the icon next to the contact’s name. Users can only have one Primary phone contact at a time (users can select multiple contacts in the text and email sections). If no users in that section are selected, #1 slot is activated by default.

SCHEDULING AND SENDING A NOTIFICATION:
Press “Schedule a Notification” from the home screen. Tap the Activity field and use the keyboard to enter you activity and any other notes (such as location, route, etc.) and press the Return key. Choose an Estimated Time of Return from the scroll wheel, then press save.

A message will be sent to your primary contacts with your activity, estimated time of return and your current location coordinates.

Once a Notification has been scheduled, a reminder will be placed beneath the clock on the home screen. At the time of the scheduled Notification, a screen alert appears on the user’s phone indicating the upcoming Check-in (note: notifications will still be active if the app is closed). The user has 2 options: Respond, or Delay.

If Delay is selected, a reminder alert will repeat after a short period.
If Respond is selected, the user has 2 options: Respond by phone, or by text. When the user selects phone, the phone auto-dials the designated phone contact. If Check-in by text is selected, a message with the user’s location coordinates is sent to selected contacts.

TRANSMIT WAY-POINT:
Automatically sends a SMS/email message with location coordinates to active check-in contacts.

EMERGENCY BUTTON:
Press the Emergency button and a screen alert pops up to confirm emergency action, if confirmed the app sends an emergency message to all contacts in the Contacts directory with location coordinates.

SETTINGS:
When the Auto dial 911 setting is switched on, 911 will be called if emergency button is activated.

USER INFO:
Enter a user name that will appear in messages sent through this application.

ADDITIONAL EMAIL CONTACT:
Turns email notification on/off (email notification is still active when Emergency button is activated).

ADDITIONAL FACEBOOK CHECK-IN:
AdditionalTurn on/off to share Way-Points on Facebook (notifications & SOS messages remain private). You will enter your log-ins to authorize (you only need to do this on initial set-up).

LOCATION INFORMATION:
Your location coordinates are only recorded at the time you initiate a message. YODEL does not track or store your location information and most certainly wouldn’t share it if we did.
